FAQs
Your questions, thoughtfully answered.
What age groups do you cater to?
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 5 years, with dedicated rooms tailored to each developmental stage:
- Nursery (0-2 years)
- Toddlers (2-3 years)
- Preschool (3-5 years)
What curriculum do you follow?
Mini Milestones uses the Montessori Method as the foundation of our educational approach, blended with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). This allows us to support individual learning while meeting national standards for early childhood education in Australia.
What makes Montessori different from traditional childcare?
Montessori is a hands-on, child-led learning approach that promotes independence, concentration and real-world skills. Research shows it enhances both academic outcomes and emotional wellbeing — giving your child the best start for school and life.
Do you provide food, and is it healthy?
Yes. We provide five nutritious meals per day, planned using the Australian Dietary Guidelines and managed through Feed Australia. We also participate in the NSW Munch & Move program, promoting healthy eating and active living.
How do I stay updated on my child’s progress?
We use a secure parent app to send daily updates, stories, and photos. In addition, you’ll receive a monthly progress report based on the Montessori curriculum — giving you insight into your child’s learning across emotional, social, and academic domains.
What are your operating hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm, all year round. We close only on public holidays.
What is your enrolment process?
- Book a tour to visit our centre
- Submit your enrolment form (we’ll guide you)
- Attend orientation to support a smooth transition
- Begin care, knowing your child is in nurturing, expert hands
What if my child has alleriges or additional needs?
We work closely with families to develop individualised care plans for allergies, dietary requirements, or additional learning needs. Our team is trained in inclusive practice and emergency management.
Do you offer orientation for new families?
Yes. Our orientation process includes stay-and-play sessions, educator meet-and-greets, and a gradual transition so your child (and you) feel comfortable before starting full-time care.
Are your educators qualified?
Absolutely. All educators hold relevant early childhood qualifications, and many have received Montessori training or are working toward it as part of our professional development program.
